Right Neighbourly Walking Program

The Right Neighbourly Walking Program is a free program designed to help older adults who are living in their own homes to participate in a community-based walking program that can keep you fit for life. The program is focused on those who are new to physical activity or for those who may be looking for physical or moral support to get them out and enjoying physical and social activities in their own community and reducing the need for access to transportation.
• Enjoy a safe initiation to urban pole walking (all equipment is supplied)
• Make new friends & start your own neighbourhood walking program!
• Learn about other ways to take a positive approach to aging
Starting Location: Seniors Connect Centre – 150 Wallace Street, Nanaimo
Dates: August 14th to October 2nd 2019
Time: 2:30pm to 4pm – Walking class includes 10 minutes of warm up stretching, and a 20 to 30-minute walk. Walks will increase in duration over each session.
Social Activity: Enjoy light refreshments. Take part in a social half hour following each class over the 8 weeks and learn about fun things to do in your neighbourhood.
